Actually, I don’t think it’s so much a new political party that I want. It’s more like I want no political parties. It’s just an artificial means of separating people into two different camps so they can fight. I’d just like the see the Human Being party where we could all belong.

Some of these items I lose track of. I don’t keep track of the dates I originally added items to the list, and I didn’t even keep them in order. But I think it goes without saying that this idealistic little gem was added to the list during high school when I actually thought such a feat would be possible on a body blesses with a potbelly.

It runs in my family. I seriously think that if I went six months without eating and worked out everyday and then had a tummy tuck, I’d still have a pot belly.

Not that my round little belly couldn’t be a bit flatter than it is. I’m just saying it’ll never be a washboard.

Admittedly, this was added to my list when inline skating was still cool. About ten years ago, I spent my income tax refud on a pair of top-of-the-line inline skates and special inline skating socks that wicked moisture away and padded your feet in all the right places.

That was also when I lived in the coastal plain of North Carolina, and there was no shortage of flat surfaces where it was easy to practice and learn. But then I moved – to Pennsylvania where it was anything but flat and there weren’t many areas at the least bit friendly to inline-skating beginners. Not only that, but out of some belief that inline skating posed some kind of threat to others, inline skating was forbidden on the university campus where I worked and in many other parts of the city.

I’ve since moved back to California where the Venice Beach boardwalk has miles of flat, smooth surface ideal for learning inline skating. Only now, people ride old-school roller skates and bicycles instead of inline skates.

Darn, I’m a week late. The 2010 Super Bowl was six days ago. I didn’t even know who was playing until I ran across a mention of it in a design blog the following Monday. That’s how into football I am.

In high school, I was in the marching band, so I rarely missed a football game. I spent every Friday night huddled under a quilt with my closest friends sipping hot chocolate and eating pepperoni rolls from the concession stand. I suppose I must have at least liked football a little then.

I have no interest in it whatsoever now, and can think of a thousand things I’d rather do on a perfectly fine Sunday afternoon than sit at a football game, no matter how great the halftime entertainment was promised to be.
